Shiratal Mustaqiem Master Plan
An urban revitalisation proposal reconnecting city fabric through river-oriented public spaces.
Shiratal Mustaqiem Master Plan is an urban revitalization proposal that explores the transformation of a river-adjacent area through masterplanning and visioning. The project positions public space as a key driver in reconnecting fragmented urban fabrics, bridging parts of the older city with newer developments along the river corridor.
The proposal introduces a network of public spaces oriented toward the river, reframing it not as a back-of-house infrastructure but as an active civic edge. This approach aims to restore the river’s role as a spatial connector, supporting social interaction, walkability, and everyday urban life within the surrounding neighborhoods.
Through an emphasis on resilience, the project considers long-term adaptability in the face of environmental and urban change. Shiratal Mustaqiem presents a vision where urban revitalization is guided by public space, water-oriented planning, and the reactivation of river landscapes as integral elements of the city’s future.
