Greenwood Sarinah

A revitalisation proposal for Sarinah, Jakarta’s modernist landmark, with timber as primary structural system.

Greenwood Sarinah is a revitalization proposal that repositions Sarinah, a landmark of Jakarta’s modernist era, as a progressive urban destination. The project combines urban revitalization with the introduction of a new tower, responding to the evolving needs of the city while respecting the historical significance of the site.

The architectural proposal adopts timber as the primary structural system, expressing a forward-looking approach to construction and materiality.

This strategy reflects an alternative vision of regeneration, where heritage, contemporary urban life, and sustainable architectural expression are integrated into a cohesive and future-oriented development.
